From October 10, 2026 to March 7, 2027, the legendary Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione in Paris presents Volte, its new major circus creation bringing together international artists, acrobats, jugglers, tightrope walkers, aerial artists, clowns, dancers and equestrian artists.
For approximately two hours, the Cirque d'Hiver ring hosts a series of acts blending flying trapeze, diabolo, juggling, bolas, hula hoop, slackline, balancing, acrobatics, trapeze dance, breakdancing, equestrian arts, clowning, and dance. The show is accompanied live by the Cirque d'Hiver Grand Orchestra and punctuated by the interludes of the ringmaster.
The Flying Caballero – flying trapeze
The Flying Caballero present one of the major aerial acts of this year's festival. These six acrobats, five men and one woman, are American artists of Mexican origin who were awarded the Golden Clown at the 47th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival.
Their flying trapeze act notably leads the artists to the spectacular attempt of the quadruple somersault, one of the most impressive exercises in the discipline.
Matéo & Aélia – diabolo
Juggling is particularly well represented in Volte with Matéo Turbelin and Aélia Savary.
The duo reinvents the diabolo by combining juggling techniques, circus acrobatics, and theatrical performance. Their act is built around the song "Ces Gens-là" by Jacques Brel, in a performance where Matéo's virtuosity interacts with Aélia's stage presence and grace.
A particularly interesting act for juggling and diabolo enthusiasts.
Full House – juggling, acrobatics and comedy
The Full House duo, composed of Henry Camus and Gaby Schmutz, mixes comedy, acrobatics, music and juggling.
In their burlesque skits, the two artists repurpose everyday objects, juggling them and even playing the piano four-hands in improbable positions. The duo notably participated in the 47th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival in 2025.
Art of Dance – bolas
The five Argentinian artists of Art of Dance bring another form of juggling to the stage with a particularly rhythmic bolas act.
At once jugglers, dancers and musicians, they twirl their bolas to Latin rhythms in a collective tableau where percussion, movement and object manipulation respond to each other.
Kristina Buiniakova – hula hoop
Kristina Buiniakova presents a hula hoop act inspired by the world of tango. To the sounds of the bandoneon, the artist performs a series of hoop manipulations in a choreography where the hula hoop truly becomes a dance partner.
Csepregi Lilla – slackline
At just 21 years old, Hungarian artist Csepregi Lilla is turning slacklining into a spectacular circus apparatus.
She performs double front and back jumps, rotations, and splits on the strap, which she uses almost like a trampoline. The artist has already performed at major international events, including the Wuqiao International Circus Festival in China.
Duo Bora – trapeze dance
Zsuzsanna and Boglarka, trained at the Biak National School linked to the Hungarian State Circus, present an act combining trapeze and dance.
The two artists were also awarded prizes at the international festival held at the Capital Circus in Budapest.
Maria Sarach – balance
In a graphic setting reminiscent of the world of the painter Mondrian, Maria Sarach explores the boundaries between balance and contortion.
His number was designed with the Italian choreographer Giulio Scatola, a former dancer who worked in the worlds of Maurice Béjart and Pina Bausch.
Davis Vassallo – clown
Laughter is also an integral part of Volte with Davis Vassallo. Coming from a family of clowns and trained by Walter Vassallo, he has been performing since childhood.
His character notably transforms a tightrope exercise into a burlesque act playing with the fear of falling and the traditional codes of the circus clown.
Marion Bouglione – equestrian arts
Marion Bouglione perpetuates the family's equestrian tradition with a painting featuring a horse and a pony.
This act focuses less on spectacular performance than on the complicity between the artist and his four-legged partners, with a staging particularly designed to amaze young audiences.
Break Dance Crew
The show also opens the stage to urban cultures with Break Dance Crew, composed of five dancers from the Parisian scene.
Breaking, hip-hop, acrobatic figures, jams and battle culture meet here with the world of traditional circus.
The Grand Orchestra of the Cirque d'Hiver
An important feature of Volte is its live musical accompaniment.
The Grand Orchestra of the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione, conducted by Pierre Pichaud, brings together ten musicians who accompany the different acts and adapt the music to the changes in atmosphere and the performances of the artists.
The Salto Dancers
The Salto Dancers perform the major choreographic sequences of the show. The ballet features six female and three male dancers, under the direction of choreographer Heather Lauren Gould.
Their interventions ensure the transitions and contribute to the spectacular aesthetic traditionally associated with Cirque d'Hiver productions.
Michel Palmer – Ringmaster
The show is presented by Michel Palmer, the iconic ringmaster of the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione. He guides the audience throughout the performance and introduces the various international artists.
🎪 Volte thus offers a meeting between the great traditions of the circus ring and more contemporary disciplines: equestrian acts, flying trapeze and clowning are juxtaposed with diabolo, bolas, slackline, hula hoop and breakdancing.
The show is aimed at the whole family from 2 years old and is also a particularly interesting event for jugglers thanks to the presence of the diabolo of Matéo & Aélia, the bolas of Art of Dance and the burlesque juggling of Full House.
The performances take place at the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione, 110 rue Amelot in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, from October 10, 2026 to March 7, 2027. Several times are offered depending on the dates, including matinee, afternoon and evening performances.
