During the 2026-2027 school holidays, Flip Flap Circus School is offering week-long circus workshops in Paris for children aged 6 to 14. Juggling, diabolo, clubs, acrobatics, mini-trampoline, trapeze, aerial silks and hoop, unicycle, balance ball, tightrope, and Rolla Bolla make up a particularly comprehensive program allowing young participants to discover or further develop their skills in the main disciplines of circus arts. The workshops run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with drop-off possible from 9:00 am, at Flip Flap Circus's premises, located at 10 rue Cabanis in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

🎪 Flip Flap Circus is a circus arts school established in Paris in 2004. Founded by Emilie Declercq, Tiffany Fouché, and Sylvain Declercq, it is accredited by the French Ministry of Youth and Popular Education and recognized by the French Federation of Circus Schools (FFEC). Its program combines technical training, artistic creation, autonomy, mutual support, and self-confidence.

The workshops organized during school holidays follow this philosophy by offering children a true immersion in circus arts. The week is not devoted to a single discipline: each participant can experiment with several techniques and gradually identify those they wish to develop further.

🤹 The day begins with juggling activities, including diabolo, balls, and clubs. These initial workshops allow children to gradually enter the activity while working on manipulation, coordination, and precision.

After a fun warm-up, the morning continues with acrobatics. The children work on rolls, cartwheels, and balances. The instructors take each child's level into account: participants who have already mastered the basics can progress to more advanced techniques such as the round-off, handspring, flip, or somersault, depending on their experience and desires.

⚖️ The young circus performers also discover several forms of object balancing. The official program includes the balance ball, the tightrope, the Rolla Bolla, and the unicycle, providing an opportunity to experience very different sensations and techniques.

🎪 Aerial arts also play a significant role, including trapeze, silks, and aerial hoop. Workshops allow children to discover the basics of these apparatuses or to develop their skills if they already have circus experience.

After the picnic, the afternoon begins with group and creative games, followed by acrobatic warm-up activities. Children can then choose from a variety of workshops, allowing them to dedicate more time to the activities they particularly enjoy.

The end of the day often favors group activities such as mini-trampoline, lifts and juggling, bringing a playful and collective dimension to the camp.

🎭 But Flip Flap's objective goes beyond simply learning tricks. During the week, children are also encouraged to think about creating an act: choosing one or more techniques, researching sequences, progressively building a routine, and then staging it around a theme.

This work can culminate in a performance for families on Friday at 3:30 pm. Depending on the workshop, the final product may also take the form of photographs or videos sent to families.

This artistic dimension directly aligns with Flip Flap's educational project. The school aims to encourage young people to become active participants in their practice, to develop their autonomy, to persevere, to gain self-confidence, and to progress in an environment where mutual support and respect for differences play an important role.

👧👦 Each workshop can accommodate 24 children, supervised by two instructors from the circus school. The group is generally divided in two according to the age of the participants in order to further adapt the exercises and learning.

The workshops take place at the Flip Flap Circus School, 10 rue Cabanis in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, near the Glacière metro station – line 6 and bus 21, Daviel stop.

With its program combining juggling, diabolo, acrobatics, lifts, mini-trampoline, unicycle, balances and aerial disciplines, Flip Flap offers a full week of discovery and improvement for young circus enthusiasts as well as for those who wish to try these disciplines for the first time.
