SEVEL

Created in 2026
45 minutes • All audiences

Origin of the Title

Sevel – A verb from the Breton language:

to rise, to lift oneself up, to raise, to build, to erect, to remove, to recover, to compose, to create, to invent, to grow.

A non-verbal solo performance combining object manipulation, diabolo and related props, mime, dance and object theatre for audiences of all ages.

Synopsis

Whether young or old, we learn. To respect. To repair. But sometimes we cannot. Or perhaps… we rebuild differently.

Not simply repairing. Rethinking. Reinventing. A fragile balancing act between awareness and denial, between falling and rising. We try, stumble and start again. We allow ourselves to be carried forward.

And in the middle of it all are the objects. Silent, yet never neutral. They carry our gestures, tensions and impulses. They move us and transform us.

What seemed broken becomes a support. What appeared lifeless comes alive and opens new paths. The objects tell stories differently. Sometimes, even better than we do.

Sevel embodies a free, universal and unclassifiable circus. A space without prejudice, without boundaries between artistic disciplines, where every mistake becomes material and every error a new starting point.
