This balance board is sold individually . It is used directly on the ground, without a roller or hemisphere.

F2 Balance Board WIP:

The F2 WIP balance board is a curved balance board measuring 93 x 30 cm , designed to improve balance, coordination, and proprioception. Its curved shape naturally creates instability as the user shifts their weight from one side to the other. It is suitable for training in board sports, fitness, yoga, or for the physical conditioning of circus performers.

Made from 11-layer plywood , this board combines rigidity with slight elasticity. Its generous size offers ample space to vary the spacing and position of the feet. Its curve reaches a maximum height of approximately 20 cm .

Unlike a balance board mounted on rollers or a hemisphere, the F2 WIP rests directly on its curved ends. This provides a simple, easy-to-understand rocking motion and allows users to gradually develop control of their center of gravity.

NetJuggler's review of the F2 WIP Balance Board:

This balance board strikes us as particularly appealing due to its ease of use and versatility . No accessories are required: simply place the board on the ground and balance exercises can begin immediately. Its movement differs from that of a roller balance board: movement is guided by the board's curvature, allowing you to focus on weight transfer, body positioning, and stability. Weighing 3.7 kg and constructed from 11 layers of wood, it feels robust. Its generous 93 cm length also allows for easy variation of positions. It is a valuable tool for athletic training, as well as for circus performers looking to enhance their balance and physical conditioning.

A balance board inspired by board sports:

With its design featuring waves and a surfboard, the F2 WIP clearly displays its inspiration. The rocking motion requires the user to continuously adjust their balance and body position. This type of exercise can be used off-season or as a complement to regular sports training.

Some exercise ideas with the F2 WIP:

  • Simple pendulum: standing, gradually shift your body weight from one foot to the other.
  • Maintaining center: seek a stable position by controlling the board's movements as much as possible.
  • Leg bends: perform small leg bends while maintaining balance.
  • Squats: For users who are already comfortable, gradually perform squats on the board.
  • Circus work: use the plank as a complementary workshop to improve the precision of the supports before working on other balance apparatus.

Manufacturer information F2:

F2 is a brand historically associated with board sports. This influence is evident here both in the board's graphics and in its use, which is geared towards developing balance, positioning, and body awareness.

Precautions for use : Use the board on a flat, clear, and suitable surface. For first-time use, stay near a stable support or have someone with you to minimize the risk of falls. Children and teenagers should use it under the supervision of an adult or guardian. Regularly check the condition of the wood and the underside of the board before use.

How to get started with a curved balance board?

Start with your feet wide apart and your knees slightly bent. Look straight ahead rather than at your feet and perform small weight transfers. The goal isn't to make large movements right away, but to gradually learn to control the swing. Once you feel comfortable, you can reduce the movements, change your foot position, or incorporate strengthening exercises.
