F2 Balance Board

This F2 balance board is sold individually and is ready to use.
F2 wooden balance board with natural cork surface
The F2 balance board is a round platform designed to improve balance, proprioception, coordination, and muscle strengthening. Its 39.5 cm diameter platform rests on a hemispherical base, creating instability in all directions and forcing the body to continuously make small corrections to maintain balance.
The top surface is covered in natural cork . Pleasant to the touch, this covering also provides good grip for barefoot exercises. Two large handles are cut directly into the board to make it particularly easy to carry.
The structure is made of 7-layer plywood . The lower part is fitted with a 13 cm diameter plastic base. This construction results in a sturdy board while maintaining a reasonable weight of 1.4 kg .
It can be used for very simple balance exercises but also integrated into more complete fitness, physical conditioning, or muscle-strengthening sessions. More experienced users can use it for squats, planks, push-ups, or various exercises performed while supported on the arms.
NetJuggler's review of the F2 balance board:
This F2 board strikes us as particularly interesting due to its simplicity and versatility. Unlike a board that primarily operates on a single axis, its central base allows the platform to tilt in all directions. The rider must therefore constantly adjust their position.
The 39.5 cm diameter provides a comfortable surface for both feet without making the board unnecessarily bulky. It remains compact enough to be easily stored after a session.
We also really appreciate the two integrated handles . This is especially convenient for transport: at only 1.4 kg, the board can easily be carried to a gym, workshop, class, or training location. These openings can also be used as hand grips for certain exercises performed on the board.
Finally, the cork coating gives the board a more pleasant feel than a raw wood or plastic surface. It is particularly well-suited for exercises performed barefoot.
A tool for working on balance and proprioception
The principle of a balance board is simple: to intentionally create an unstable surface in order to force the body to constantly react. Even when the user is simply trying to remain still, numerous small adjustments are necessary to keep the board balanced.
This exercise engages the stabilizing muscles and progressively improves movement control. Depending on the exercises performed, the plank allows you to work on:
- Static and dynamic equilibrium.
- Proprioception.
- The coordination of movements.
- Ankle and leg stability.
- The stabilizing muscles.
- The abdominal belt and core strengthening.
- Control of the center of gravity.

For what type of practice?
The F2 balance board can be used by practitioners of different levels. The difficulty depends mainly on the exercises chosen and the duration for which the user attempts to maintain their balance.
- Beginners : discovering balance and learning to control the board.
- Athletes : additional work on proprioception, stability and physical preparation.
- Fitness practitioners : adding an unstable surface to muscle strengthening exercises.
- Jugglers and circus performers : development of balance, coordination and body control.
- Yoga and body preparation : complementary exercises focusing on stability and core strengthening.
- Motor skills workshops : creation of exercises adapted to the level of the participants.
Some exercises with the F2 balance board
Several difficulty levels are possible with the same board. It is advisable to start with the simplest movements before gradually introducing more demanding exercises.
- Two-footed balance: climb onto the platform and try to keep it as horizontal as possible without its edge touching the ground.
- Weight transfer: slowly shift your center of gravity forward, backward, and then laterally while controlling the tilt.
- Balancing on one foot: a more technical evolution for users who have already acquired good mastery of the board.
- Squats: perform squats while trying to maintain control of the platform.
- Plank: place your hands on the board for support to add instability to the exercise.
- Push-ups: use the platform or its handles to further engage the core and stabilizing muscles during the movement.
For initial use, we recommend placing the board near a stable support that provides easy hold. The goal is to gradually increase the duration and difficulty of the exercises rather than immediately seeking significant instability.
A board adapted for fitness and physical preparation
F2 is not limited to standing balance exercises. It can also complement a muscle strengthening session by introducing additional instability into movements usually performed on the floor.

An interesting board for jugglers and circus performers
Balance and the ability to precisely control body position are important in many circus disciplines. Used independently of juggling practice, this board allows for the addition of proprioception and coordination exercises to a training session.
It can also be used in motor skills workshops or in an obstacle course combining several pieces of equipment. You can discover other complementary products in our selection of balance and motor skills equipment .
Use in rehabilitation
Exercises on unstable surfaces are also used in some rehabilitation programs, particularly to gradually work on proprioception and stability after an injury.
In this context, however, the board should not be considered a medical device or used to improvise a self-administered rehabilitation program. The exercises, their range of motion, and their level of difficulty must be determined according to each person's situation and, when necessary, with the guidance of a healthcare or rehabilitation professional.

Precautions for use : Always use the board on a flat, stable, and sufficiently clear surface. Start with simple exercises and gradually increase the difficulty. Beginners should ideally have a fixed support nearby to catch themselves if they lose their balance.
Why train with a balance board?
The appeal of a balance board lies precisely in its instability. To maintain a position, the body must constantly correct small imbalances. This exercise simultaneously engages coordination, postural control, and stabilizing muscles.
Easy to integrate into a session and requiring little space, the F2 is a versatile accessory for working on balance at home, in the gym, during sports training or as part of circus and motor skills activities.
