Adjustable balance ball:
Since 2016, we've been working on a solution for designing an adjustable, inter-level balance ball. In traditional Chinese circus arts, balls are sometimes weighted with sand to allow unicycling on a balance ball. The sand stabilizes the ball, making it much easier to use. Here is our solution for making the ball easy for beginners to use.
This balance ball design can therefore be adapted to suit the skill level of the users. A small amount of sand is used to make the ball roll easily, while more sand is added to stabilize it. This means the ball doesn't need to be as heavy as if it were empty.
The more weighted the ball is, the safer and more stable it will be.
Ball characteristics:
- Diameter: 70cm.
- Structure mass: 10Kg.
- Delivered without sand.
- Coating: non-glossy, light grip.
- The material used to make this ball: Polyethylene
- Country of manufacture: France .
- Colors: the colors are inspired by our Varana balls.
- Custom color: We can create a ball in a color other than those listed in our catalog. Please allow up to two months for this type of order. Contact us for more information.
The structure is robust, with plastic thick enough to support larger individuals and allow for acrobatic lifts. The filling hole is positioned so as not to weaken the ball's structure, and it's molded with a substantial thread that ensures the screw-on cap doesn't interfere with the ball's rotation.
Because the mold is new, the finish is clean at the seam in the center of the ball. The coating provides greater comfort than a glossy ball and a slight grip for easier use barefoot or in socks.
What is the use for this balance ball?
Use for initiation and discovery:
This model is an interesting teaching tool for schools and circus schools because it's modular. For example, if you're teaching a group of beginners and have few sessions or limited time, weighting the ball will stabilize it and make it safer to use. This also means you won't need to put a thick layer of padding under the ball, secure it, etc. You won't need to transport as much equipment to your classes as you would with a traditional ball.
Advanced use:
Adding weight to the ball might be considered cheating by some. If you want to practice rigorously, simply use less sand, or even no sand at all, and then you can develop a precise technique.
White balance ball:
We now have a white ball available as an option. This color will make a striking impact on stage. However, please take good care of your white ball, as white shows dirt more easily than our other colors.
Unicycle on a balance ball:
With a high level of unicycling skill and significant ball weighting, it becomes possible to ride a unicycle on this ball while practicing "in place".
Advantage of adding weight to your ball:
By using the option to add weight to the balance ball, the ball will roll less. Therefore, on stage, this will prevent the ball from rolling off the stage.

Can you deliver it to the US?
Are you able to make a ball closer to 90cm or 3ft diameter?
Sorry no, that would involve making a mold!
Do you deliver to the Philippines? Is there only one size available?
Hi, Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, I do not offer delivery to the Philippines for this item. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding. Best regards,
Good morning,
What material is the ball made of?
Polyethylene / Polypropylene?
THANKS
The balls are made of Polyethylene.
Good morning,
Are there balance balls for walking on the street, on carpet or other surfaces?
THANKS
To my knowledge, this type of ball doesn't exist commercially. But I could be wrong. I've never heard of it. You can use a regular ball, but it will scratch. It all depends on the surface where you plan to walk.
You can always do some research on how to cover the ball with other materials (...) it's not an easy and quick task but it is possible. Start by knowing the materials the product is made of. Then find the material with which to cover it and then you have to dive into the adhesion of these materials.
