Adjustable walking globe:

Since 2016, we have been thinking about a solution to design an inter-level and modular walking globe. In traditional Chinese circus circles, balls are sometimes ballasted with sand to allow them to unicycle on a walking globe. The sand stabilizes the ball and thus makes it much easier to use. So here is our solution to make the ball easy to use for beginners.

This model of walking globe can therefore be adapted according to the level of the practitioners. We will put a little bit of sand to make the ball roll, and on the contrary to stabilize the ball we will add a lot of sand in the ball.

The more the ball is weighted, the more it will be secure and stable.

The structure is robust with a plastic thick enough to accommodate people of large size and also to perform acrobatic lifts. The location of the filling hole is positioned so as not to weaken the structure of the ball and it is molded with a substantial screw thread which allows the screw cap not to interfere with the rolling of the ball.

The mold being new, the finish is clean on the junction in the center of the ball. The coating allows greater user comfort than with a shiny ball and a slight grip to facilitate use with bare feet and in socks.

What use for this walking globe?

Use for initiation and discovery:

An interesting educational tool for schools and circus schools because this model is modular. For example, if you are teaching a group of beginners and you have few sessions, or little time to get the group through. Weighting the ball will stabilize it and make it less dangerous to use. This also means that you will no longer need to put a significant thickness of mattress under the ball, to block it etc. No need to travel to your lessons with as much material as with a traditional ball.

Advanced use:

Ballasting may be considered cheating for some. If you want to practice with rigor, it will suffice to put less sand, or even no sand, and at that time you can develop a rigorous technique.

White walking globe:

We now have a white ball that you can choose in the options. This colour will have a striking impact on the scene. Be careful however, to pamper your white ball because white is messier than the other colours we market.

Unicycle on a walking globe:

With a high level of unicycle and a significant ballast, it becomes possible to ride a unicycle on this walking globe.

Advantage of weighting your ball:

Weighting the walking globe makes the ball roll less. Therefore, on stage, this will have the consequence of stopping the moving ball so that it does not roll off the stage.
