Kevlar Protective Cap
Discreet and Technical Protection
The Kevlar cap is an essential passive safety accessory for fire performers. Its main function is to protect the head and hair from accidental splashes of burning fuel and to provide a lightweight thermal barrier during close proximity to equipment.
- Stage Black Finish: Its understated color ensures complete discretion during performances. It's also a practical choice: since fire equipment is inherently messy (soot, residue), black helps maintain a clean and professional appearance session after session.
- High Performance Textile: Weave in aramid (Kevlar) fibers offering natural flame resistance and insulation against radiant heat.
- Optimal Comfort: The woven fabric is soft and breathable, allowing for prolonged use under spotlights without excessive discomfort.
NetJuggler's review
"This cap is the ideal solution for artists with long hair or dreadlocks, which are particularly exposed during wraps or close-to-the-face routines. Its size is truly versatile: it comfortably covers larger heads without compressing smaller ones. It's a safety essential that you forget you're even wearing."

Pro Maintenance Tips
Storage: As with all Kevlar equipment, avoid prolonged exposure to UV rays (direct sunlight) when not in use, in order to preserve the integrity of the fibers.
Technical Honesty: This cap is not a protective helmet against physical impacts, but a textile insulator. It should never be soaked in combustible material.
- DO NOT SOAK: This cap is not meant to be ignited. It would lose its protective properties and become dangerous.
- LIMITATIONS: In case of prolonged contact with a steady flame, the heat will eventually penetrate the fabric. Always remain moving and vigilant. This hat is more of a splash guard than a thermal protector (which is limited in this case).

What are the washing instructions for the hat? Machine or hand wash, maximum temperature if machine washed, do you need a special detergent?
1. Hand wash (recommended) Warm water: Use warm water (30-40°C) to avoid damaging the fibers. Mild detergent: Choose a mild soap or detergent for delicate fabrics. Avoid products containing bleaching agents or fabric softener, as these can weaken the Kevlar. Gentle cleaning: Gently rub the cap with your hands, paying particular attention to the stained areas without applying too much pressure. Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue. 2. Machine wash Delicate cycle: Select a cycle for delicate or fragile fabrics. Low temperature: Do not exceed 30°C. Wash Bag: Place the hat in a wash bag to protect it from rubbing against the drum or other clothes. 3. Drying Avoid the dryer: Heat can damage Kevlar fibers. Air dry instead. Flat: Dry the hat flat to prevent it from losing its shape. Avoid direct sunlight: UV rays can affect the properties of Kevlar.
Hello, I'm interested in your hat but I would like to know how deep it is?
I have dreads and I'm wondering if it would all fit and if it does fit I'd like to have a little bit of wiggle room so I can keep it for a while...
Here is a short video that shows you the dimensions of the cap and suggests an idea for Dreads if the cap is not enough...
It's not designed for dreads, but Kevlar sleeves might be something you should consider.
