NetJuggler's review of Prodigy Snake Tape Premium:
This Premium version is smoother and more robust than "standard" tapes. It holds better over time, especially in areas of frequent support (bottom of the hoop, areas of sockets). For a perfect installation, its 38 mm width facilitates the winding angle and limits the excess thickness. In practice, we recommend anticipating a second roll if you want to reinforce the bottom of the hoop, make alterations or cover a large diameter (> 100 cm) and/or a tube wider than 25 mm.

- Indoors / studios : clean installation, smooth surface pleasant for static work and dynamic.
- Targeted reinforcements : add extra passes under the hoop to improve cushioning and longevity.
Installation instructions (step by step):
- Prepare the apparatus : degrease the bar (isopropyl alcohol), dry Perfectly. If using a shackles/shackles hoop, remove the shackles . working in "0 points".
- Locate the central point : mark with 1 cm of tape the axis where the future ellipsis point (visual cue).
- First pass : start at the bottom of the hoop . Wind in a spiral upwards, overlapping by about half the width (≈ 1.9 cm). Keep the tape taut and even, without twisting it.
- Second pass : start again from the bottom, in the other direction , by starting a hand's width next to the initial starting point to cross the Coverings. Go all the way to the top.
- Large diameter / reinforcement : add 1–2 additional passes on the bottom of the hoop to protect the support area.
- Mounting openings : at the end, locate the holes/shackles. Pierce the tape cleanly (make an "X" cut, then trim to a square) and Clear the edge to prevent the shackles from getting stuck.
- Smoothing : rub with a dry cloth to activate the adhesive and remove the bubbles.
Important – (valid for all aerial hoop taps) :
A slight excess of adhesive can make the surface sticky .
This is normal at the beginning, especially after warming up or in hot weather.
variable from one roll to another (across all manufacturers).
Solution: systematically rub the new tape with chalk/magnesium to
absorb the excess. It may be necessary to reapply the chalk during the
First few sessions; then the phenomenon disappears. Without chalk, your hands/clothes can
become sticky.
Key tip:
For a lasting result: install in a dry environment, with a regular overlap (½ width). reinforce the bottom of the hoop with additional passes, then Apply chalk immediately after application.
