Diabolo & First Balls Kit: learn diabolo and juggling

The Diabolo & First Balls kit brings together the equipment to learn diabolo and learn to juggle with 3 balls. It combines a Jester fixed-axle diabolo, lightweight Superglass handsticks and three soft star balls. Two complementary disciplines for discovering juggling, working on coordination and progressing at your own pace.

The handsticks are already fitted with a special diabolo string. Adjust its length to the user before starting. The included balls are the classic star models, without fluorescent effect.

A Jester fixed-axle diabolo for learning the basics:

The Juggle Dream Jester is a medium-sized diabolo with soft plastic shells. Its multicoloured patterns help to visualise its rotation, a useful cue for learning to speed it up and correct its tilt.

Its wide fixed axle lets you work on getting the diabolo spinning, the first throws, catches and classic techniques such as the elevator. It also lets you discover grinds, which involve spinning the diabolo on a handstick.

Lightweight and comfortable Superglass handsticks:

The Superglass fibreglass handsticks are slightly flexible. Their low weight lets you feel the diabolo's movements in the string well. The foam handles provide a comfortable grip.

The pair comes with 1.6 m of special diabolo string, attached to the ends of the handsticks. The string colour may vary depending on stock.

Three soft star balls for learning to juggle:

The 3 soft star juggling balls let you start with one-ball exercises, then two, before learning the three-ball cascade. Their synthetic leather covering and sterilised millet filling offer a comfortable grip.

Each ball measures 65 mm in diameter and weighs 120 g. Slightly firm when new, they gradually soften after a few hours of practice. Their soft design limits rolling on the floor after a drop and makes recovery between attempts easier.

This kit lets you discover two disciplines with equipment that supports progress beyond the first sessions. The Jester helps you understand how to get the diabolo spinning and control it. The three balls let you work on throws, catches and rhythm before combining them.

The fixed axle requires regularly re-accelerating the diabolo: this learning is part of the basics of the discipline. The 120 g balls offer a clearly perceptible presence in the hand, but their 65 mm diameter may be less comfortable for smaller hands.

To replace the string when it wears out, plan for a 10 m spool of special diabolo string. A spare is particularly useful during learning, when movements are still irregular and the string rubs more on the ground.

Usage precautions and care: practice in an open space, away from people and fragile objects. Regularly check the condition of the string and replace it when worn. Avoid wet floors and prolonged exposure of the balls to water in order to preserve their filling and covering.

How to adjust the diabolo string length?

A string suited to your height makes the first movements easier. The adjustment also depends on your preferences: take a starting reference, then adjust after a few tries.

For children, a total string length from foot to shoulder is generally a good starting point. For teenagers and adults, a length from foot to armpit is often chosen. Then fine-tune the adjustment to your comfort.
