T6 aluminum fire staff:

High-end fire staff, equipped with Kevlar wicks. This staff is equipped with X-Grip, under which there is a thickness of foam, for optimal comfort of use.

Staff made with a T6 aluminum base. T6 aluminum has the property of being heavy and robust. A silicone protection prevents fuel from dripping onto the staff grip. These same protections on either side of the grip also have a role of thermal insulation, to protect the grip from flames.

NetJuggler's opinion:

Equipment meeting the expectations of professionals. For larger flames, we have other models that will meet the requirements of "flame enthusiasts" :-). You are free to replace the Kevlar wick and replace it with a larger Kevlar, in 100mm for example, to obtain more important flames. Happy juggling and be careful.

The X-Grip:

The X-grip is protected by a silicone washer on each side of the grip. These washers have a role of thermal insulator, but also of protection against the flow of fuel. The X-GRIP is a heat-shrunk sheath which has a role of grip, for a good grip of the staff. It covers a foam structure which allows it to be soft when held in the hand, for comfort. The X-grip is renowned for its long lifespan, compared to most other grips, which generally need to be replaced from time to time.

What kind of use?

The fire contact staff is aimed at an adult professional audience wishing to practice with rather slow and precise movements. This type of staff is heavier, which allows it to be manoeuvrable.

Tips for using your fire staff:

Increase the lifespan of your staff with these tips. Professionals are used to this kind of instructions, but we never repeat them enough ...

When you soak your wicks, soak them 3/4, this will give the Kevlar time to absorb all the fuel and prevent it from leaking and running on the staff. It is important to know that the X-Grip is heat resistant but not flame resistant. Also, be careful not to let fuel run onto the grip, this could encourage flames to spread over the silicone grip and cause your grip to deform or wear prematurely.

  • Never use fuel such as White Spirit, benzene or other alcohol based fuel. Prefer the use of flavorless petroleum, it produces a very yellow so-called "cold" flame. If you have a blue or transparent flame, it means you are using the wrong fuel, so don't push it and check your fuel.
  • Do not hold the staff in a static vertical position, always keep it moving or in a horizontal position so that the flames do not damage the structure or the elements of your staff such as its grip, for example.
  • Handle the grip with delicacy to ensure a good lifespan.
  • Do not soak the silicone in the fuel.

Warning: this item can be dangerous. Always handle a flaming object with care and provide something to extinguish it (wet non-flammable cloth reserved for this use). This item is prohibited for those under the age of 18.
