Previously (before 2026), Gora offered a magnetic system, but in 2026, they abandoned it in favor of this system, which is slower to connect/disconnect than magnets but more reliable in the long run. We appreciate this update. Important note: These swords are flow arts objects intended for dance and movement; they are absolutely not designed for real combat or blade-on-blade impacts that could damage your equipment."
Maintenance and Care Tips
To preserve the integrity of your Gora equipment, follow this protocol:
- Soaking: Soak the wicks three-quarters full to allow for complete absorption without leakage. The odorless mineral spirits must never drip onto the silicone grip.
- Thermal Protection: The silicone guard resists radiant heat but degrades upon direct contact with flame. Keep the sword moving.
- Storage: Use a ventilated bag. Avoid airtight containers that trap fuel vapors, which cause premature degradation of the grips and silicone parts. These parts tend to swell in the presence of fuel vapors.

On this model, two connection systems are offered: magnetic or Quick Connect .
Magnetic version:
The main advantage is its great simplicity and speed of assembly. In a few seconds, you can go from two single swords to a double-bladed sword. The system is reliable for smooth use, but it has a slight play at the junction. During rapid movements or with significant acceleration, the blades can sometimes separate.
Quick Connect version:
This system provides a more rigid and secure connection once the swords are assembled. The staff is therefore much more stable, even during dynamic movements. On the other hand, disassembly requires a little more handling: two-handed or with one-handed practice.
In summary:

• Strength and rigidity in dynamic use: Quick Connect version.
