Contact Juggling Discovery Kit: PVC & Acrylic
Have you ever seen a juggler glide a ball over their hands, arms, or body, with the amazing impression that the ball floats or remains motionless in space? Welcome to the world of contact juggling !
Unlike traditional juggling, contact juggling doesn't necessarily involve throwing objects in the air. Instead, a ball is rolled over different parts of the body, balance is practiced, and visual illusions are created through precise and fluid movements.
To discover this discipline, we have designed a kit combining two balls with very different, but perfectly complementary properties : a PVC stage ball for learning and a transparent acrylic ball to enhance the figures once mastered.
Two balls, two sensations, one same discipline!
Why choose two different balls for this kit? Because in contact juggling, the choice of material significantly changes the sensations and the way of practicing.
The PVC stage ball is our ally for learning. It's large, heavy enough to really feel your movements, and above all, much more resistant to falls than an acrylic ball. You can experiment, try new tricks, make mistakes and start again without fear of scratching a precious transparent ball.
The acrylic ball , however, brings a whole new dimension to the sport. Its perfectly smooth surface, density, and transparency provide a very pleasant feel in the hand. Visually, the effect is striking: the movements become almost hypnotic, and some figures give the impression that the ball is floating in space.
However, acrylic has a drawback: its surface scratches easily . Therefore, we recommend learning new tricks with a PVC ball first, and then attempting them with acrylic once they are mastered.
In summary: PVC for daring, acrylic for dazzling!
What does the contact juggling kit contain?
- 1 éoZoé stage ball of 100 mm / 210 g: a robust PVC ball, made in France, ideal for learning contact movements without fear of the usual falls of training.
- One 75mm clear acrylic ball: a ball with a smooth, glossy finish, offering a pleasant feel and spectacular visual effects. Its versatile diameter allows you to discover the basics of the sport.
- 1 protective cover for acrylic ball: a small cover lined with velvet, with drawstring closure, to store the transparent ball and limit scratches during transport and storage.
The éoZoé stage ball: ideal for learning without apprehension
The 100mm éoZoé stage ball is an excellent choice for starting out in contact juggling.
Its generous 100mm diameter allows for good feel of the movements and enables you to practice initial rolls on your hands, arms, and other body parts. Its 210g mass provides sufficient inertia to support your movements without being excessively heavy.
But its main advantage for learning is its durability . Unlike an acrylic ball, this PVC ball doesn't require any special precautions against everyday scratches.
So you can try new exercises, attempt difficult movements and accept the many falls that are a natural part of learning.
A falling ball is not a failure: it is often a sign that we are learning something new!
This ball is made in France under the brand éoZoé , a NetJuggler brand. It is made of recyclable PVC, without phthalates.
The 75mm acrylic ball: all the magic of contact juggling
The transparent acrylic ball is probably the most iconic object in contact juggling.
Its smooth surface, transparency, and density give it a very particular behavior. It rolls pleasantly on the hands and allows for the creation of impressive visual illusions.
During isolation moves, for example, the hands seem to move around the ball while the ball itself appears to remain motionless in space. This effect often surprises spectators and gives the discipline its almost magical aspect.
We chose the 75mm diameter , a versatile size for discovering the basics of contact juggling. It allows you to work on hand manipulations, basic balances, and isolation moves.
Acrylic, on the other hand, requires more care. Its surface can be scratched by drops or contact with abrasive objects. Scratches don't necessarily prevent it from rolling, but they can affect its transparency and visual appearance.
Our advice: use your éoZoé ball to learn new tricks and bring out your acrylic ball when you are comfortable enough to perform them with more control.
A cover to protect your acrylic ball
We've added a protective cover to this kit, because a beautiful acrylic ball deserves to be protected!
The cover is lined with velvet and closes with a drawstring. It allows you to store your ball when not in use and reduces friction that could cause scratches.
The small size is suitable for acrylic balls up to 75 mm in diameter: it is therefore suitable for the model included in this kit.
However, be aware that the cover protects the surface during storage, but it doesn't make the ball unbreakable in case of impact. Note that acrylic is an extremely robust material; it would take a very violent impact against something sharp to damage it! On the other hand, it scratches easily when it comes into contact with an abrasive surface.
NetJuggler's review of this kit:
We believe this kit is an excellent way to discover contact juggling, as it answers a question many beginners ask: should you start with a stage ball or directly with an acrylic ball?
Our answer is simple: both have their advantages, but not necessarily at the same time in the learning process!
The 100mm éoZoé stage ball is perfect for first sessions. It's large, heavy enough to properly work on movements, and above all, very robust. You can focus on technique rather than worrying about dropping the ball.
The 75mm acrylic lens offers a different feel and an incomparable visual experience. Its transparency brings out the magic of isolation and fluid movement.
What we particularly like about this kit is that it accompanies a real progression: you learn with PVC, you perfect with acrylic and you take advantage of the qualities of both materials.

Our tips for improving your contact juggling
Step 1: Get comfortable with the PVC ball. Start by rolling the éoZoé ball in your hands and from one hand to the other. Practice the movements slowly, without immediately trying to perform complex figures.
Step 2: Discover the first balances. Try holding the ball on different parts of your hand, then move it while maintaining control of its trajectory.
Step 3: Practice isolations. Learn to move your hands around the ball while making it appear as if it's staying in the same place. This is one of the most characteristic illusions in contact juggling.
Step 4: Switch to acrylics. Once your movements become more consistent and falls less frequent, try practicing the figures with the acrylic ball. You'll discover new sensations and a very different visual effect.
Step 5: Protect your equipment. After each session, store the acrylic ball in its cover. Avoid rough surfaces and choose a suitable practice environment.
Why choose this kit rather than a single ball?
Contact juggling can be practiced with different materials, but each has its advantages and limitations.
With just one acrylic ball, beginners might hesitate to try certain tricks for fear of dropping and scratching it. While a PVC ball provides an excellent learning tool, it doesn't offer the same feel or the characteristic transparency of acrylic.
By combining the two, this kit allows you to enjoy the robustness of PVC and the magic of acrylic , while also having a cover to protect the transparent ball.
Two balls, two complementary approaches and numerous possibilities for progression!
Learn with PVC, amaze with acrylic!
This contact juggling kit has been designed to allow you to learn without apprehension, and then discover all the beauty of the figures made with a transparent ball.
A great entry point into the world of contact juggling, where precision, fluidity and visual illusion meet.
Precautions for use: The acrylic ball is susceptible to scratches and can be damaged by strong impacts. If dropped on a hard surface, it can also damage the floor or fragile objects. Practice over a suitable surface, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, and never allow a transparent acrylic ball to concentrate sunlight onto a flammable surface. The PVC ball is more resistant to normal drops but should also be used in an open area.
