Pertra® sandbox by Pedalo: graphic design and fine motor skills

The Pertra® sandbox is an educational tool for developing graphomotor skills , hand-eye coordination , and fine motor skills . It allows children to trace lines, shapes, and letters in the sand, then erase and start again. This sensory approach supports early graphic movements and prepares children for writing.

Its varnished beech plywood box consists of two parts. The lid can serve as a frame to hold up to 16 Pertra® 7 x 7 cm cards . These additional elements allow for the provision of reference points and guided exercises.

The sand and scraper are included: you have everything you need to start free drawing activities, without additional markers.

This tray offers a hands-on way to explore the movements of writing. The sand surface allows for erasing and reworking without using paper. We appreciate the inclusion of the sand and scraper, as well as the lid, which can be used as a frame for compatible writing pads. It's a valuable tool for diversifying handwriting workshops in the classroom, at home, or in professional settings.

The drawing pads are not included, but they are not necessary for the initial freehand drawing exercises. The educational value then depends on the choice of activities and their adaptation to the user.

The lid can hold up to 16 Pertra® 7 x 7 cm pads (not included). If you already own compatible pads, they can be used to supplement free play with guided exercises.

Precautions for use : Use under adult supervision. Do not ingest the sand and avoid contact with eyes. Place the container on a stable surface and handle the sand gently to minimize scattering.
