It can be set up attached at the end of a rope. It can also be used with a swivel to allow 360 ° rotation or used while swinging with a grip on each side.
which diameter of aerial hoop to choose ?
The diameter of your aerial hoop is chosen according to your size. When you are sitting on the hoop, there should be 10cm between your head and the hoop. You can take this measurement while sitting on a chair (ex: height between the chair and your head = 70cm, then you will need an aerial hoop with an inside diameter of 80cm). If you are buying for a circus school where several people are going to use the same hoop, this space may vary slightly and extend up to 15cm.
With this method you will be sure not to hit your head on the top of the hoop when you are in a sitting position. If you're teaching students of multiple heights, be sure to check that they can't bang their heads before starting :-).

If you use only one hook, it is possible that the hoop rotates slightly on itself (even if you do not use a swivel), to overcome this, fix it at two points.

What are the conditions for installing an aerial hoop?
You will need some height !
To install a hoop, you will need a ceiling height of at least 4 meters. The hoop will not necessarily be 4 meters high, but you need space above and below the hoop. Any installation with a height of less than 4 meters will give you frustration and very limited use of the apparatus. Imagine hanging from the hoop, you need a lot of space below it. Now imagine yourself standing on the bottom of the hoop, you also need space above you. With a swinging movement, you will need even more space. Without the necessary space, you will end up with a hoop that will have a role similar to that of a swing.
Dynamic vs static:
Remember that a moving body can weigh up to 3 times the mass of a static body. When you are on an aerial hoop, you are a moving body. A binding that will withstand your mass when stationary (static) will not be sufficient.
Fixing a hoop at home, as a private individual:
Your life or the life of your child will depend on the fixation of the hoop. Do not neglect its installation.
An aerial hoop binding cannot be improvised. Consult a rigging specialist or an architect, or consult the advice of a mason. During our discussions with some beginner customers, we were told about using fixing plates for punching bags. These fixings are made to fix 30 to 50 Kg to the ceiling. The mass of a moving (dynamic) person can be up to 3 times its mass in a static position. Never use this type of plate, the accident would be inevitable. Each building has its own different structure with its own strengths and materials. One of the best solutions that requires the least amount of technique is to use a truck loop around a large beam. Again consult the opinion of a specialist.

Bonjour, combien pèse ce cerceau de 90cm de diamètre interne?
Est-il possible de le commander avec une lame de 2mm au lieu de 2,75 afin que le cerceau soit plus léger? Existe-il des cerceaux un peu plus fin à la prise en main ( 22mm au lieu de 25mm par exemple?) Merci de votre retour
Bonjour, ma fillle souhaite acheter un cerceau pour mettre sur notre portique de 4m. Il existe déjà un anneau mais quelle fixation dois je acheter pour mettre à partir de l'anneau du portique? Sur le cerceau, nous mettrons une sangle pour qu'elle ne se blesse pas le pied. Le cerceau sera de 95 mm.

Je suis prof d'EPS et pour mes cycle d'art du cirque en lycée j'aimerais remplacer une de mes vieilles cordes à grimper par soit un cerceau aérien soit un tissus. Vous en pensez quoi en sachant que je suis moi même débutant?
Le tissus est aussi clairement moins cher mais le cerceau aérien me parait plus simple pour débuter. Est-ce le cas?
Les deux disciplines sont très différentes, les difficultés et l'approche des disciplines ne sont pas les mêmes. La technique non plus n'est pas la même.
Si vous êtes débutante, je vous invite à vous former sur les disciplines avant de les enseigner ou de faire appel à un intervenant professionnel.
