Juggling as a family — adult and child:
Learning to juggle as a family means discovering circus arts together and sharing those first successes. This kit brings together equipment suited to both adults and children to explore scarves, balls and Chinese plates, each at their own pace.
The Octave balls are white. The colours of the soft balls, scarves and plates are your choice from the options offered when ordering.
Getting started together with scarves:
Thanks to their slow fall, scarves give you time to observe the trajectories and prepare your catches. The 40 × 40 cm ones are suited to small hands, while the 70 × 70 cm ones, being more visual, suit the adult or an older child.
Two types of ball for learning to juggle:
For adults, the Octave LX-12 of 120 g offer a supple grip thanks to their slightly stretchy fabric and millet filling. Their size is well suited to learning the first three-ball patterns.
For children, the soft balls of 70 g, smaller and lighter, make it easier to grip and to discover throws and catches.
NetJuggler's opinion on the Juggling as a Family kit:
The value of this kit is that it lets adults and children practise the same exercises with equipment suited to their hands. We recommend starting with a single object, then gradually increasing the difficulty, without trying to progress at the same pace.
Discovering Chinese plates as a pair:
With two NetJuggler Chinese plates and their flexible sticks, each person can learn to set a plate spinning and keep it balanced.
To begin, draw small circles with the tip of the stick using your wrist, then gradually speed up. Once the plate is stabilised, try passing it from one stick to the other.

About NetJuggler:
Since 2004, NetJuggler has distributed circus and juggling equipment for individuals, schools and associations. The Chinese plates in the kit are produced in Italy for NetJuggler.
Precautions and care: practise in a clear space, under adult supervision for young children. Protect the millet-filled balls from water and moisture. Store the equipment in a dry place and wash the scarves preferably by hand, in cold water, before leaving them to dry in the open air.
How do you get started juggling as a family?
Each start with one scarf, throwing it from one hand to the other. Then move on to two, then three scarves once the movements become regular. Follow the same progression with the balls and alternate with the Chinese plates to vary the exercises.
