Introducing the Slim Aerial Fabric

The Slim Aerial Silks is a variation of the standard silk (160 cm) specially designed to meet the needs of children , adults with small hands and all those who are still developing their grip strength. Its reduced width of 130 cm allows for a better, more intuitive and more comfortable grip, making the practice more accessible and less tiring for equal figures.

Item sold individually (length to be chosen from the options). To fix it in the air you will need to equip yourself with a fabric bell sold separately in the aerial circus equipment category .

A fabric designed for the evolution of practice

Slim version (130 cm) : suitable for children and small hands for an easier and more secure grip.
Standard version (160 cm) : suitable for 90% of practitioners, already widely used in circus schools.
Better endurance : the reduced width allows you to gain strength over time, making longer and less tiring sessions possible.
Versatile use : the Slim model can be used in training as well as in the performance hall .

Professional certification

Each fabric comes with instructions and a printed certificate allowing its use in professional environments: performance halls, marquees, schools and aerial courses. This is a regulatory requirement for any facility open to the public.

Lifespan and maintenance:

The observed lifespan is approximately 3 years / 300 hours . The main risk of wear comes from jewelry : wearing them on the aerial fabric is strictly prohibited, as they can cause tears. Over time, the elasticity of the fabric changes: it is therefore normal to feel a difference when you replace an old fabric with a new one.

Care: Machine wash cold (30° max) with mild soap. Avoid washing too frequently to preserve the quality of the fabric.

Use and safety

Aerial flying is a demanding and potentially dangerous discipline. Even at low altitudes, a landing mat is essential. Never practice alone or self-taught: supervision by professionals is strongly recommended.

No need for rosin: the fabric's grip is sufficient for most tricks.

Fireproofing and regulations

This fabric is not flame retardant or M1 rated . Regulations require flame retardant treatment only for stage sets . Circus apparatus (such as aerial fabrics) are not subject to this requirement.

What length of aerial fabric should I buy?

Allow twice the floor/ceiling height + 2 meters for making the knots. Example: for a 5 m hanger, you will need 12 m of fabric.
