Maintenance and "Sushi" Hair Extensions

Can I practice throwing with this staff?

This model is specifically designed for contact. Its aluminum frame will withstand impacts, but it's not the best model for absorbing repeated impacts on the ground (tossing). For throwing, choose a standard or reinforced juggling staff.

How do I care for silicone flowers?

Silicone is heat-resistant but sensitive to liquid hydrocarbons. Be careful not to spill any fuel on the flowers during soaking and avoid storing them in enclosed spaces with damp wicks.

Can the staff be held vertically while stationary?

No. As with all fire equipment, holding the staff vertically when stationary allows the flame to lick the tube or grip, which will destroy the coating and overheat the aluminum. Always keep it moving.

How to safely turn off the staff?

Use a thick, damp blanket or a fireproof cloth. Never blow on the wicks. In an emergency, use a foam extinguisher; never use powder on a person or flow art equipment.

Why wring out the excess fuel?

Use a spin-off bucket to remove excess liquid. This prevents flaming droplets from being splashed onto the audience, yourself, or the staff's silicone grips.
