Double Diabolo Discovery Kit

This kit includes 2 Typhoon fixed-axle diabolos and a pair of aluminium handsticks fitted with string. The colours of both diabolos and the handsticks are your choice.
Double Diabolo Discovery Kit:
Do you have the basics down with one diabolo and want to learn how to spin two on the same string? The Double Diabolo Discovery Kit brings together two Juggle Dream Typhoon diabolos and a pair of aluminium handsticks with string. A set for getting into double diabolo, working on starts and progressing through your first two-diabolo figures.
Both Typhoons have a fixed axle. You can also use them separately to practise with one diabolo before moving on to double.
NetJuggler's take on the Double Diabolo Discovery Kit:
The Typhoon has several features that are useful for learning double diabolo: a weight of 240 g per diabolo, weight distributed towards the outside of the shells, and a glossy finish that limits friction between the shells when they touch. Its guides are also designed to make orientation corrections easier.
The aluminium handsticks offer a comfortable grip thanks to their EVA foam handles. Their stiffness allows direct transmission of movements. For practitioners who later want more flexibility, carbon handsticks can be a good upgrade.
This kit is mainly aimed at people who are already comfortable with one diabolo. Knowing how to accelerate, keep the orientation and catch a throw helps you approach learning two diabolo with more confidence.

Why choose the Typhoons for learning double diabolo?
- Weight distributed towards the outside: this promotes inertia and stability in rotation.
- A weight suited to multiple diabolo: each Typhoon weighs 240 g, a compromise between stability and effort during accelerations.
- Smooth, glossy shells: they limit friction between diabolos on contact.
- Guides designed for corrections: their shape helps reorient the diabolos during practice.
- Two identical models: both diabolos have the same dimensions and the same weight.
What type of practice is it for?
- Learning double diabolo after mastering the basics with one diabolo.
- Working on starts, acceleration, the carousel and your first two-diabolo figures.
- Practising with one diabolo using the same equipment.
- Advanced workshops at circus schools or clubs.
The Typhoon is a large 128 mm diameter diabolo. For young children discovering the discipline, a medium-sized diabolo may be easier to handle.

About the manufacturer Juggle Dream:
Juggle Dream offers juggling equipment, including diabolos and handsticks. The Typhoon was developed over more than two years, with particular work on the shell material to combine transparency, a glossy finish and the ability to return to their shape after deformation.
Optional complementary products:
Plan for a 10 m spool of diabolo string to replace the string when it wears out. Early practice sessions can wear it quickly, especially when movements are still jerky.
To upgrade your equipment, Deos Carbon handsticks are an option for experienced practitioners. You can also browse our selection of diabolo strings.
Usage precautions: practise in a clear space, away from other people and fragile objects. Regularly check the condition of the string. Aluminium handsticks can bend if they hit the ground or a wall violently.
How to get started with double diabolo?
Before adding the second diabolo, practise accelerating the first, correcting its tilt and maintaining a steady rotation. Then move on to working on the two-diabolo start, and aim to keep a stable carousel before tackling figures. Short, regular sessions help you work through these steps gradually.
Adjust the length of your string:
The 1.60 m string supplied with the handsticks should be adapted to your height and preferences. For a teenager or an adult, a length from foot to armpit is a good starting point. Try it several times before shortening it further.
